On June 5th, we will again gather for the 3rd Annual Friends of Steve McQueen Car Show.  Once again, all Show proceeds will benefit the Boys Republic in Chino Hills.

The Boys Republic was credited by Steve McQueen in turning his life around.  Motor Trend's Matt Stone and Chad McQueen, Steve’s son, have joined Gearheads to celebrate cars and Steve's memory in support of the Boys Republic.

In addition to raising money, the Friends of Steve McQueen Car Show has endevored to bring attention to the work of Boys Republic and how they are helping youth to become productive citizens.

Boys Republic is a private, nonprofit, nonsectarian school and treatment community for troubled youngsters. Since its founding in 1907, it has guided more than 23,000 at-risk teenage boys and girls toward productive, fulfilling lives.  Boys Republic and its companion program, Girls Republic, help children in desperate need find within themselves the resources and skills to begin meaningful lives on their own.  Boys Republic's central school and farm is located in Chino Hills, California and maintains residential and day treatment centers in other communities.

The Boys Republic offers their renown Della Robbia Wreaths each Fall. If you would like to purchase one and support the Boys Republic, please visit their website at boysrepublic.org.

Last year, although the weather was a bit suspect, our prayers were answered with no rain.  While it may have deterred a few from driving their cars to the event, we had the In-N-Out Burger truck and sold over 545 Double Doubles. That alone should give you a reason to attend this year's event!

A huge gratitude goes to all the club members who volunteered their time to help out and make the day the success it was.
